School Choirs
The following children’s choirs represent a significant component of our school music program.  These choirs present music for congregational worship and special events:Pre Kindergarten Choir; Kindergarten Choir; 1st, 2nd & 3rd Grade Choirs .

The following two choirs of our school also participate in worship and also emulate the worship leadership role of the adult choral ensembles, preparing anthems and liturgical pieces: The 4th & 5th grade choirs and the middle school choir.

Middle School Choir is an elective for students in grades 6-8.  These singers register for Middle School Choir at the beginning of the school year.  This chorus is designed to prepare students for advanced choral experience in high school and beyond.

School Band & Orchestra
Our school presently has over one hundred twenty students enrolled in band and orchestra.   Instrumentation includes string instruments, wind instruments, guitar, and percussion, keyboard—even harp instruction for interested students. Several band and orchestra ensembles arise out of this program, reflecting the instrumentation and talent of each given academic year. These students/ensembles prepare music for concerts, special events, and worship as time/talent allow.

A key goal of our school music program is to provide students with experience, knowledge, and skills necessary for life-long enjoyment of music, including the employment of one’s musical skills for the benefit of the Church in worship and outreach.  Our school’s instrumental ensembles, choirs, and music classes combine with our church ensembles to honor the Lord in worship and life through music.

Art Program
St. Luke’s art program offers a spectrum of hands-on art units that promote personal creativity. Students explore famous art, artists, and cultures from around the world. Students will learn art history, develop an understanding and appreciation for art and encounter a broad range of art media! Kindergarten through eighth grade students will hone their artistic abilities with several projects encompassing painting, drawing, printmaking, clay, and more. Each student
will be encouraged to use critical thinking skills while learning about the elements and principles of art.

Physical Education
The St. Luke’s physical education program equips students to recognize, develop, and use their bodies to God’s glory.  The students participate in group activities and are encouraged to promote a spirit of cooperation with each other and with their teachers, as a healthy approach to relationships in life.  Towards this end St. Luke’s students learn basic motor skills and a variety of complex motor activities as they relate to physical fitness, conditioning, and sport activities.
